Pacific View Inn, San Diego California

Steps away from Pacific Beach in San Diego sits this cute, small inn. First off the good things. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The  big draw of San Diego, the beach is no more than 50 steps away. There are a plethora of restaurants and shops within a few blocks on the Inn. I stayed for a week and could have been comfortable the entire time without a car, because there is so much to do.  Kono’s Café  being a highlight.  The room was large and clean, the inn was recently renovated and feels very modern. Now for some of the less than stellar aspects. Check in isn’t until 4 and its an extra $15 to check in 15 minutes early. That rate extends up to $60 to check in an hour early, even if they have the room ready.  After a day at the beach a nice shower is very important, unfortunately the water at the in n never got hot, it was also just a lukewarm low water pressure shower. Parking is another issue, the inn has three designated parking spaces available… for $60 a night.  There are about 15 other parking spots right in front of the inn that are quickly filled up with beach goers, or tenants at the near by parking complexes. I had to park more than a block away a few times.

Overall Rating: 9/10 I would recommend Pacific View Inn, the view and location far outweighs any inconvenience caused by the parking situation.
